Update n stuff

Hi! I haven't posted for a while so I thought I'd update you on what's happening in my life: I just got back from Houston for my best friend's wedding, which was emotional and amazing and so much fun all at the same time. I'm back at school for just a week and then I head off to Denver for spring break to help my parents move into their new house! So a lot going on!

This is something I did for Chris Buzelli's class. The assignment was to illustrate a movie, which we chose at random and I got Liar Liar, as you can see. I'm not a huge fan of the movie but was fascinated by Jim Carey's range of expressions so I chose to depict them as masks (which now that I'm thinking about it, could work for another Jim Carey movie).

Hope things are going well with you all!

Celebration

This image will be in Makeshift Magazine accompanying an article about difficulty to find fun things to do in Vancouver. Obviously these characters don't have any trouble having fun, and I had a lot of fun drawing them! Thank you to art director Stephanie Davidson!

Love is in the Air

My best friend is getting married in March, and I'm planning the bridal shower, which is super exciting but also stressful because I don't know the first thing about bridal showers. Let alone weddings. It feels strange that my friends are getting engaged--I feel like we just got out of high school. I can barely commit to a lipgloss. I can't imagine getting married anytime soon unless someone comes along  who looks like Paul Newman. Anywho, for now I'm a bridesmaid and this is the invitation for the bridal shower. This is the picture on the back, depicting my friend and her fiance in a lovey-dovey gondola ride. I'd show you the front with all the fancy text, but I don't want you crashing our bridal shower. No offense.
